
American Airlines is one step closer to debuting its best business class seats so far.
This week, the Fort Worth-based operator received two new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners that has its new flagship suite seats, a completely new premium concept that has spent years in process.
With sliding privacy doors, a Chaise hall option and a reinvented general version of the executive class, the new American Dreamliners will mark the beginning of a new era for the carrier’s premium offers, and should prove to be one of the most attractive options for travelers waiting redeem miles from Aadvantage on flights operated by the United States.
The two new 787 of the Americans were played within approximately three hours on Tuesday night at the operations base of Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) of the carrier, one from Charleston, South Carolina, and another by Paine Field out of Seattle.
They will enter soon, although American still does not offer an exact date.
A highly anticipated debut

The new Jets will show off 51 executive class suites, organized in a 1-2-1 configuration and with universal access of direct corridors.
These aircraft will also have 32 completely new premium economy reclinators.
The recliners of the American Economy of American, along with all the seats of their new aircraft, will wear completely new custom designs, along with the brand and a new aesthetic that will see throughout the cabin.
“It is expected that these deliveries, together with the planned update of the existing seats, grow the seats of the American economy and economy of American in approximately 50% for the end of the decade,” said CEO Robert Isom to analysts last week about the company’s earning calls in the first quarter.
Exactly where they will fly?
American has not announced the first set of routes for its first 787-9PS. But the main planner of the carrier’s network, Brian Znotins, told me the past autumn that American flights from the Chicago O’Hare International Airport to the London Heathrow Airport (LHR) seemed like a probable bet.

These Dreamliners (and future deliveries 787-9) are not the only jets that will see the new commercial class concept.
