

One of The most anticipated hotel openings of the year according to TPG — in one of the most picturesque destinations on the planet — is finally here.
The Westin Bora Bora Resort & Spa The resort, formerly owned by Le Meridien, officially opened this week and features the most overwater bungalows of any resort on the French Polynesian island. The resort, formerly owned by Le Meridien, underwent an extensive renovation before becoming a Westin affiliate.
The new Westin includes 128 overwater bungalows, many of which include a private poolAll have views of the lagoon, the island or Bora Bora’s imposing Mount Otemanu. The resort also features 14 family-friendly bungalows with lagoon views.

“We are thrilled to introduce this property as the first resort to open in Bora Bora since 2017, making the Bora Bora dream a reality like never before,” Cesar Marques, general manager of The Westin Bora Bora Resort & Spa, said in a statement. “The Westin Bora Bora combines the island’s serene landscape with premium accommodations, stunning ocean views and a wide array of on- and off-property experiences, ensuring an unforgettable stay for every guest.”
As for amenities, The Westin Bora Bora includes an infinity pool at the center of the resort with six cabanas, a swim-up bar, a private lagoon, locally inspired wellness offerings, and six dining options that lean toward French Polynesian cuisine. Those looking to unwind can visit the Heavenly Spa for a treatment or keep up with their workout routine at the Westin Workout Fitness studio.

Rates at the new Westin Bora Bora Resort & Spa start at $1,000 per night. Points availability appears extremely limited right now, but some rewards for gift nights next year drop as low as $74,000. Marriott Bonvoy points per night.
