World of Hyatt Credit Card Benefits
He World of Hyatt Credit Card It comes with some notable advantages:
Annual free night certificate
Perhaps the biggest draw of the World of Hyatt card is its Category 1-4 annual free night certificatethat you will receive each account anniversary. You will also receive a second free night certificate after spending $15,000 in a calendar year.
You can get incredible value from this certificate both domestically and abroad. Here’s what TPG senior editorial director Nick Ewen have to say about this benefit:
I love getting Category 1-4 certificates on my World of Hyatt credit card. There are so many great options at this award level, as I’ve used it to stay at the Hyatt Centric Fort Lauderdale and the Andaz Savannah. However, I often look to use them during high demand events. For example, I booked the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay after a Taylor Swift concert in 2023, when rates were over $900 per night, and my most recent redemption was at the Hyatt Place in Gainesville, Florida, on a football weekend this fall, where we avoided paying rates over $700.
Regardless of your destination, your free night certificate alone provides enough value to justify the $95 annual fee. That’s why this card can be ideal for any frequent traveler, even if you only stay at Hyatt once or twice a year.

elite status
It will be automatic discoverer state simply by having the card, which includes benefits such as late check out, preferred rooms and a 10% points bonus on eligible purchases. Late departure can be a big plus for travelers with delayed flights or those who want to sleep in before leaving.

Beyond that, you’ll receive five Elite nights deposited into your account each year. You’ll also earn extra nights when you spend: two for every $5,000 spent on the card.
By having this card and spending $15,000 in one year to earn that second Category 1-4 certificate, you’ll earn 11 Elite night credits, almost 20% of the way toward top-tier Hyatt Globalist status.
If you’re a renter, putting your rental on this card could be a great way to earn an extra free night certificate and extra Elite nights. Just keep in mind that most owners charge a small fee for credit card processing, but this will likely be offset by the value you get from these benefits.
Travel protections
Chase issues the World of Hyatt card, so you’ll receive many of the travel protections we’ve come to expect chase credit cardsincluding:
- Baggage delay insurance: Reimburses you for essential purchases like toiletries and clothing for baggage delays of more than six hours by a passenger carrier up to $100 per day for five days.
- Lost luggage refund: If the carrier damages or loses your or an immediate family member’s checked or carry-on luggage, you are covered up to $3,000 per passenger.

Redeem points on the World of Hyatt credit card
By far the best use of Hyatt points is for award nights. Redemptions for standard rooms start at 3,500 points for an off-peak night at a Category 1 property and go up to 45,000 points for peak dates at a Category 8 property.
TPG Credit Card Writer cris nelson scored exceptional value by redeeming three nights during peak season during a busy summer weekend at the Story Hotel Riddargatan in Stockholm for just 12,000 points.

Hyatt also offers points and cash rewards, allowing you to pay half the regular price in points and half the standard rate in cash.
Additionally, you can upgrade stays paid for with points. Redeeming points for free nights is usually a better deal, but improve paid stays It may be worth it and won’t ruin your points reserves.
You can also transfer points to various partner airlines, but we don’t recommend this as the transfer ratio is 2.5:1. Hyatt also lets you redeem points for dining, spa visits, and other experiences, but you’ll get better value if you use points for hotel rooms.
