Atmos Rewards Summit Welcome Offer and Benefits

All three Atmos Rewards credit cards currently have great welcome offers, but the Atmos Rewards Summit has the highest offer of the three.

  • 3 points per dollar spent on eligible restaurant purchases
  • 3 points per dollar spent on foreign transactions
  • 1 point per dollar spent on all other purchases

As a frequent traveler, I find the earning rates and benefits of the card quite amazing. There are only a few eligibility rules to keep in mind before applying.

What if you are already an Alaska or Hawaii cardholder?

The Alaska Airlines Visa Signature Card® (no longer available) has been converted to Atmos™ Rewards Ascent Visa Signature® Credit Card and the Alaska Airlines Visa® Business Credit Card (no longer available) is now the Atmos™ Rewards Visa Signature® Business Card.

You won’t be eligible for a welcome bonus on any of these cards if you currently have them, because your previous accounts would have changed.

However, if you currently own the Hawaiian Airlines® World Elite Mastercard® or the Hawaiian Airlines® Business Mastercard®you would potentially qualify for the Atmos Rewards Summit card.

What are the eligibility requirements for the Atmos Rewards Summit?

In summary, since Atmos Rewards Summit It is a newly launched card, most people who apply for the card should be eligible to earn the welcome offer. To increase your chances of approval, you must have a credit score of at least 670.

There are no family restrictions to have more than one Atmos Rewards card or to obtain welcome bonuses.

So, if you are planning to apply for the Atmos Rewards Upgrade or the Atmos Rewards BusinessYou can get the welcome bonus on any of the cards along with the bonus on Atmos Rewards Summit.

Don’t forget Bank of America’s application rules

Now that we’ve covered eligibility for existing cardholders of other Atmos Rewards cards, don’t rush to apply before considering Bank of America’s application restrictions.

The most common rule you will probably be subject to is the 2/3/4 rule. This means you can only get approved for two new Bank of America cards in a 30-day period, three cards in a 12-month period, and four cards in a 24-month period.

This applies to personal cards and not commercial cards issued by Bank of America.

What is the best strategy to get the Atmos Rewards Summit?

If you are thinking about applying for Atmos Rewards Summit card and other Atmos Rewards cards, there are several paths you can take.

Apply first for the Atmos Rewards Summit

Since Atmos Rewards Summit is new, apply for this card first to get the great welcome offer.

Apply for a personal and business Atmos Rewards card

If you were planning to apply for two cards in a short period of time, consider applying for the Atmos Rewards Summit and the Atmos Rewards Business to maximize your chances of approval. (But remember Bank of America’s restrictions.)

Applying for more than one Atmos Rewards card can unlock substantial value.

New Atmos Rewards Business cardholders earn a welcome bonus of 80,000 bonus points and a $99 companion fee (plus taxes and fees starting at $23) after spending $5,000 or more on purchases within the first 90 days of account opening.

Paired with the Atmos Rewards Summit card, you’ll have over 180,000 bonus points after meeting the minimum spending requirement on each card, allowing you to maximize the great program prize table.

Bonus points are enough for a one-way business class ticket on Japan Airlines from Los Angeles to Tokyo for 75,000 points or more Qatar Airways from New York to Doha for 70,000 points.

Plus, by having another Atmos Rewards card, you expand your points-earning potential. You will earn 2 points for every dollar spent at electric vehicle charging stations and gas stations, locally transit (including ride-hailing services) and on shipping purchases.

By having both cards, you’ll maximize Atmos Rewards program offers, including the chance to earn elite status in Alaska and its one world equivalent through eligible credit card expenses.

Atmos Rewards Business cardholders earn 1 status point for every $3 in eligible spend (up to 30,000 status points per year), while Atmos Rewards Summit cardholders earn 1 status point for every $2 spent, with no spending limit. Starting in 2026, status gains will no longer be limited on the business card.
