 
      
 
Delta Air Lines is ready to expand its service to Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America in a big way next winter.
Atlanta headquarters announced on Friday two new island destinations in the Caribbean. As of December, Delta will fly without stopping from its base of operations at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) to St. Vincent and the Armyle de Granadines International Airport (SVD) and the Maurice Bishop International Airport (GND) in Granadines, the last of which served for the last time since 2020.
And those two new pins on Delta’s route map will not be the only new opportunities that travelers will have to fly the airline to tropical destinations.
On Friday, Delta announced eight additional routes to popular holidays in Puerto Rico, Mexico and other Caribbean islands. He is bringing a handful of routes to Cancun, Mexico, has not served in several years while his rapid growth continues at the Austin-Bergstrom (AU) International Airport and Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) in North Carolina.
All these new or resumption routes will be launched in December, offering travelers a warm climate getaway when the weather becomes cold in much of the continental United States.

Delta’s new Caribbean destinations
Heading the announcement of Friday’s route was Delta’s plan to link Atlanta to two Caribbean islands that currently does not work.
On December 20, the carrier will launch flights in Boeing 737-800 from ATL to SVD on the island of San Vicente, part of the Caribbean Nation of San Vicente and Las Granadas, and GND in Granada.

Both destinations house a variety of hotels that can book with points, including First six senses owned in Granada. Can be reserved through IHG A reward.
“With two new destinations in the Caribbean of the East, Delta is expanding its offer in the region, with even more seats to Latin America and the Caribbean this winter,” said Paul Baldoni, senior vice president of Delta’s network planning, in a statement announcing the news.
The non -scales daily flights will run until April 12, 2026.

New routes and that return to Mexico and the Caribbean
Together with his two new destinations on the island, Delta plans to link more American cities, including many that are not their own centers, with tropical holiday places.
These new routes are launched on December 20, just when the Christmas travel season begins. Some will run during the winter months, with others planned only for vacation fever.

These new routes oriented to leisure are additional to the previously announced of Delta. New service without stopping between Austin and Cancun.
Last year, the airlines observed decline profits on the routes to the Caribbean and Latin America in the midst of a hard competition among carriers who had previously added a ton of flights to the region, but carriers have begun to add new flights to those destinations again, lately. American Airlines, meanwhile, recently announced service to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic of a large number of American cities.
More daily flights
In addition to these new and resumption routes, Delta plans to increase its number of daily flights to a large number of cities in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.
More daily frequencies from Atlanta to Punta Cana; San Tomás; Guatemala City; San Salvador, El Salvador; Panama City; Belize City, Belize; And Guadalajara, Mexico, will be available during the maximum winter months.
The carrier will also add additional daily flights to Cun from BOS, DTW, Los Angeles International Airport (Lax) and John F. Kennedy International Airport of New York City (JFK). And, he is planning more daily flights from Lax International Airport and Salt Lake City (SLC) to Gustavo Díaz Ordaz License Airport (PVR) in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
