Six Senses Grand Bahama isn’t expected to open until 2026, but there are new details that will keep future guests excited ahead of the luxury vacation destination’s official debut. The $250 million-plus project will feature 70 villas and 28 branded residences, as well as a wellness center, a signature Six Senses spa and a variety of restaurants. Six Senses Grand Bahama is being developed by Weller Development Partners and Pegasus Capital Advisors.

“The Six Senses Grand Bahama master plan demonstrates our commitment to creating a vibrant, year-round community where canals and waterways provide a unique take on the front porch,” Six Senses CEO Neil Jacobs said in a statement. “The integration of intentionally designed and efficiently constructed structures within the majestic natural landscape sets a framework for guests to connect or disconnect, explore or escape, allow a sun-soaked lunch to become dinner, and access a wide array of custom-designed wellness experiences and programs. Sustainability and resiliency measures reinforce the plan, ensuring its viability for years to come.”

The 50-acre Gensler-designed resort is meant to blend into the surrounding landscape, so don’t expect to see massive hotel towers. Instead, the villas blend in with the palm trees and sandy shoreline, while the property as a whole is meant to honor Grand Bahamian culture and the island’s Lucayan heritage.

While Six Senses has a lot of brand recognition in the U.S., it doesn’t have much of a physical presence in the Americas—for now.
