Believe it or not, the American Express® Gold Card turns 60 this year. To celebrate, Amex is launching a range of limited-time and targeted benefits Amex Offers for eligible cardholders.
These offers are a great way to help offset the card’s $325 annual fee (see rates and fees).
Since offers vary by account, our Gold cardholders here at TPG compared what hit our accounts and rounded up the top offers worth checking out.
That includes a fantastic offer for clear conciergea particularly useful benefit for anyone with a Active Clear+ Membership.
Here are the offers you should know about.
Featured offers: Clear+ and Clear Concierge
Let’s start with the offers that are most likely to attract cardholders: Clear+ and Clear Concierge.
Amex focused primarily on the travel benefits of the Gold during its recent minor updateSo it’s not surprising to see these offers front and center for many cardholders.
If you don’t already have a Clear+ membership, you can earn 50% back as a statement credit on all eligible Clear+ membership purchases through July 30, up to a total of $300. Registration is required.
It is important to note that the American Express Platinum® Card and American Express® Green Card Offer up to $209 in statement credits each calendar year for a Clear+ membership (enrollment required; subject to automatic renewal).

If you have one of these cards, you’ll want to use that benefit instead, since cover an entire membership.

Whether you’re a Clear+ member or a new member thanks to this offer, you’ll want to take note of one of the strongest exclusive anniversary offers we’ve seen: spend at least $99 on a Clear Concierge purchase and earn $99 in the form of a statement credit. Registration is required.
Like the Clear+ offer, this offer ends July 30.
Clear Concierge offers two services: Departure Service and Arrival Service.
- Departure service starts at $99, while arrival service starts at $199.
- Both services offer luggage assistance and escort through the airport, including the Departures Service security check.
- With the Departure Service, you will also receive assistance with check-in.
If you have a special trip ahead of you, this American Gold The offer could make your departure from the airport smoother, without additional out-of-pocket costs. Or, you can effectively cut the cost almost in half on an Arrival Service reservation.
Just keep in mind that Clear Concierge is not available at all airports, so be sure to check in advance before booking.

Other featured deals: Uber One, HBO Max, Wine Insiders and more
one of my favorites American Gold 60th Anniversary Benefits are the one-time statement credit of up to $96 you can receive for a Uber One annual membership.
I already have a free Uber One membership* through me Amex Platinumbut I plan to give it to my parents since they book a lot of Ubers when they visit me.
Note that the Uber One membership differs from the other Amex offers mentioned in this article in that it should be available to all Gold cardholders. Registration required; Offer available until October 30.
Other notable 60th Anniversary Amex deals include:
- Spend $99 or more on an annual subscription to HBO Max and get $50 back (through June 17)
- Spend $120 or more on Wine Insiders and get $60 back (through August 16)
- Spend $75 or more at Winc Wines and get $40 back (through August 16)
- Get 40% back on purchases at CookUnity, up to $60 back (until August 15)
- Spend $100 or more at Williams Sonoma and get $30 back (through May 30)
While these offers are more targeted than the Clear and Uber One offers, they can still provide solid value for cardholders who plan to make purchases at these brands anyway. Registration is required for all offers.
*Uber One: Receive up to $120 Uber One statement credit that fully covers a $96 annual or $9.99 monthly membership with auto-renewal.
In a nutshell
If you’re interested in Clear+ or are already a member, check out your Amex offers for a couple of valuable 60th anniversary promotions. You can also combine them with TPG’s exclusive Clear offers for additional savings.
Beyond Clear, it’s worth checking your Amex Gold account regularly for specific new anniversary offers. Since offers vary by cardholder, you may see valuable offers that didn’t appear on our own accounts at TPG.
Just be sure to sign up for any offer before using it, as registration is required to receive the statement credit or discount. You’ll also want to keep an eye on expiration dates.
