This tiny Greek island is getting a chic new Hyatt this summer

It’s not a myth: a mythology-inspired Hyatt resort will open this summer on the Greek island of Paros.

Nicknamed the Paros Chronicle and part of the Destination by Hyatt brand, the hotel will be located in Kampos, a short drive from Paros Airport (PAS). The hotel’s theme pays homage to the ancient Parian Chronical, “a historical marble inscription documenting moments in Greek history,” according to a statement from Hyatt.

The property will feature a variety of 50 rooms and suites, including those with private terraces or pools. The design of all hotels is a reinterpretation of Cycladic architecture seen “through a softer, more textured lens.” Think: natural stone, warm woods, muted earth tones, and sculptural lines.

In addition to enjoying the beauty of the hotel and the island, guests can soak up the sun while lounging by the pool with a drink from the bar in hand. And no visit to a Greek island is complete without a spa treatment, and the hotel’s Nipson Spa will offer holistic treatments inspired by Greek wellness traditions.

Guests can dine at NAAO, an all-day Greek restaurant that “celebrates the island’s bounty with dishes that honor local ingredients and Cycladic traditions,” according to the hotel.

Hyatt’s destiny is described as a “diverse collection of high-end, luxury hotels, resorts and independent residences that are individual at heart but connected by a commitment to harnessing the true spirit of each location,” according to Hyatt. In simpler terms, the collection features luxury independent boutique properties with plenty of local character, such as the Parian Chronicle.
