Gulf Air will land in New York in October, returning to the United States after almost three decades.
Bahrain headquarters will offer flights three times a week to the John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York (JFK) from Bahrein International Airport (BAH) in a Boeing 787-9 since October 1, Gulf Air said on July 15.

Gulf Air is not a member of one of the three major airline alliances, OneworldSkyteam and Star Alliance, and has few draws with American carriers.
