Where to stay in the maritime regions of Québec

One of the things I like most about road trips is to discover not only new places, but also the welcoming and charming places where rest and surcharge on the road. On my trip through the Maritime region of Quebec, I stayed in a mixture of hotels and inns that perfectly balanced the comfort, character and a sense of place. From impressive views in Percé to the historical charm in gaspé and local hospitality in Saint-Pacôme, each stay had something special.

Here is a look where to stay in the maritime regions of Quebec, and why I would happily register me again.

Where to stay in the maritime regions of Québec

Québec’s maritime regions, such as Percé and Gaspé, are full of coastal charm, picturesque units and a warm local hospitality. On my road trip through the area, I stayed in a variety of places, from cozy Aubergas (Small, often relatives) to top -level hotels with all comforts.

What made the experience really memorable was the personal touch. Some hosts went further, offering internal advice and making me feel at home. If you really want to connect with the region and its people, staying in local places is the way to follow.

Here is a look at some of the outstanding places where I stayed on the road.

Where to stay in Percé, Québec

Hôtel-Motel Mirage

This place has murderous views of Perceé Rock and Bonaventure Island. The 67 rooms are a good standard, and the atmosphere is warm and cozy, which makes it perfect after a long day.

All rooms have a Percé Rock view. Establish your alarm for around 4 am (verify the exact times), and with a little luck you can take an incredible photo of dawn on the Roca Percé before falling back into bed.

This 3-star establishment generally opens from June to October and offers 67 rooms with a rustic style, each equipped with air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a mini frenality and a private balcony that dominates the iconic formation of limestone stone and the Atlantic Ocean.

Guests enjoy an outdoor season pool, a tennis court and a cozy cafeteria that serves Nespresso, cakes and fruit salads, although breakfast is an additional cost. While praising for its impeccable cleaning, spacious rooms and a privileged location, it is 10 minutes walk from the Center of Perceé.

Its proximity to attractions such as Parc National de l’île-Bonaventure-Et-Du-Rocher-Perco and local seafood restaurants make it an ideal basis to explore the maritime wonders of Gaspé.

Where to stay in Gaspé, Québec

Auberge Sous Les Arbres

A little historical jewel in the city center, this inn mixes the decoration of the old school with modern comforts. The owners treat it as a family, which makes it special.

Auberge Sous Les Arbres is a lovely 3 -star Boutique hotel that combines the cozy atmosphere of a inn with modern comforts. I was late, but I liked that place immediately. Next time I will stay longer.

Located a few steps from the Gaspé Cathedral and a short term of the Forillon National Park and Percé Rock, its 12 rooms decorated uniquely and 2 studies have air conditioning, flat screen televisions, Nespresso machines and soundproofing, with some balconies that offer the bay offered by the bay.

You can see that the hosts direct this place with a lot of passion, and also serve a generous continental breakfast with local products, served in an elegant dining room. With free Wi-Fi, parking with cargo of electric vehicles and an English-style serene garden with colorful terraces, this family aubergy is a perfect basis to explore maritime wonders of Gaspé. Just keep in mind that your standard payment time is at 9:30 am, which can feel early for some.

Where to stay in Rimouski, Québec

Hôtel Rimouski

Just in the St. Lawrence River, this place has 185 cozy rooms, a convention center and a restaurant in the place (Brigade 225, we have covered it in our Guide about what and where to eat in the maritime regions of Québec).

The rooms have more than a typical business class hotel, but it is a great center to explore Bassaint-Laurent.

Hôtel Rimouski is a main 4 -star destination, and combines comfort and convenience halfway between Gaspé and Quebec City. The guests enjoy modern and spacious suites equipped with free Wi-Fi, flat screen televisions and some present impressive views of the St. Lawrence River. Unfortunately, my room faced parking.

They also have a large interior pool with an aquatic slide, a sauna and a fitness room, which also makes it an excellent option for families. The La Brigade 225 restaurant on the site serves regional specialties such as Filet Mignon and Seafood, while the center of the hotel congress serves the events. Visitors praise the clean and quiet rooms and the top-level location near the river river, although some notice that occasional Wi-Fi problems and dated decoration. Ideal for families or business travelers, Hôtel Rimouski offers attractive rates and a cozy atmosphere to explore Bas-Saint Laurent.

Auberge Comme Au Premier Jour

Located in a restored presbytery of 1868, this ecological inn rises inheritance and serves local cuisine. The family career sensation seals the deal. In addition, here you can see that the hosts put all their passion to manage this accommodation. Auberge Comme Au Premier Jour is a lovely family inn in a beautifully restored presbytery. It is its serene environment and its ecological hospitality.

Located in the picturesque region of Kamouraska, Auberge has nine cozy rooms, with private bathrooms, free Wi-Fi, along with two nearby tourist residences. What could be missing is the air conditioning for the warmest summer nights, but it was fine without it.

A friend recommended his gourmet gastronomic experience, with a menu that shows local ingredients, such as halibut with apple sauce and lamb pate, served in a picturesque dining room or a wide terrace. If that sounds attractive, be sure to make a reservation for dinner.

The comforts such as a salt water pool with heating, massage therapy and a location near ST-Pacôme Golf Club and the panoramic views of Route 132 make this Auberge a perfect retirement for relaxation and culinary exploration.

Quebec’s maritime region is full of natural beauty, warm hospitality and unforgettable moments, and where you stay can really shape your experience. From inns with heart to hotels with a front row views of iconic landscapes, each of these places added something special to my trip.

If you are planning a visit, I recommend choosing local style accommodations. They offer a deeper connection with the region, you will often meet people who are as memorable as the places themselves. So hit the road, take your time and let the East of Quebec develop, a cozy permanence at the same time.
