How to redeem your IHG Anniversary Night Certificate
Now that you know how to verify the existence and details of the anniversary night certificates in your account, here we show you how to redeem them.
You can click on the “Free Night” orange button on the page we have just discussed, where you can see the details of the certificate. In doing so, I would automatically select “IHG OneDs Business Credit Ced Night Flex”, or a similar rate associated with any type of free certificate you have in your account, in the drop -down box for “Tariff preference” on the reserve screen.
But you can also start on the destination page once you have logged in your account and then select this same rate (if you have a certificate in your account). Enter your search details and click on the Orange “Search” button.

Your search results will appear and see the properties you can book with your free certificate. If you see “free per night”, you can use your certificate to cover your entire stay. However, it is possible that you must pay the services or resort rates on some properties.
You can exceed the free night certificates that you earn through the IHG One rewards the Premier Credit Card and the IHG One rewards the premier commercial credit card. As such, if you seek with the selected certificate rate, you can see some properties that require redeeming additional points in addition to your certificate.
You can also see some properties that list a paid rate. This means that the property cannot be reserved with its free certificate on the dates it sought.
In this case, you can click on “See Dates available” to see the nights you can book with your Free Night Certificate (potentially with a required top-off if you are using a certificate that allows them).
Once you find a property that works for you, click on the Orange “Select Hotel” button to see the types of rooms available.
Then, click “Select” for a specific room type to reach the final reserve page, where you can verify your reserve details and select (or enter) a payment card to guarantee your reservation. Click “Reserve for Chase Anniversary Free Night” when you are ready to book your stay.
Like when IHG Points RedeemersNot all types of rooms are available when using your anniversary night certificate. Unfortunately, the IHG reserve system will not allow you to redeem a certificate for one night and use points or effective for other nights in the same reservation. You may have to make consecutive reservations for the same types of room if you want to stay more than one night.
Finally, although you can exceed the certificates of the IHG One Rewards Premier credit card and the IHG One Rewards Premier commercial card, you cannot overcome other anniversary night certificates. Therefore, if you have certificates from other sources, it is possible that it must be strategic regarding the certificates used for a specific stay.
