Highlights: Elafonissi Beach

Elafonissi Beach is one of the most famous places in Greece! This stunning beach is known for its unique light pink sand, which is as dreamy as they come.

When the sun hits the sand, you can see these beautiful pink halos glowing at the water’s edge. The fascinating thing is that this pink hue comes from small fragments of marine life that have washed ashore over the years. These pink shells have eroded into fine particles, creating this beautiful sandy paradise.

But it’s not just the sand that makes Elafonissi so special. The water here is absolutely crystal clear, with shades ranging from shallow turquoise to deep blue. It’s like entering a postcard!

Due to its beauty, the beach can be a little crowded, especially in high season, but it is still worth it. You’ll find plenty of sunbathers sunbathing and there’s a relaxed atmosphere that makes it feel like a great holiday spot.
