Few places on the West Coast evoke the atmosphere of a California beach like Santa Monica, famous for its amusement-filled pier, bustling shopping streets and beautiful ocean views.
Santa Monica has been experiencing something of a hotel renaissance of late, with a number of exciting new hotel openings in the works from high-end brands like Regent and Marriott’s independent Autograph Collection.
But now the former Le Meridien Delfina Santa Monica has been renamed Hyatt Centric Delfina Santa Monica and is available to book with Hyatt World needles.

Better yet for those looking for a budget-friendly trip to the beach, the hotel will undergo a phased $16 million renovation (during which it will remain open) to its 315 guest rooms, lobby and thousands of square feet of meeting space this fall. It will also debut a new restaurant and bar experience.
The hotel also features an outdoor swimming pool for guests’ enjoyment, as well as a gym.
As for bookings, cash rates start around $300 per night, while this Category 6 World of Hyatt property can be booked starting at 21,000 points per night. Right now, the hotel is offering 15% off with the code “15OFF” or 17% off for World of Hyatt members using the code “MBRS15.” The discounts are valid through October 31.
This rebranding marks Hyatt’s first hotel in Santa Monica, though the company is well represented in Los Angeles with hotels including Thompson Hollywood, Andaz West Hollywood and The Shay in Culver City, among many others.
Planting roots in Santa Monica is a smart move for any hotel brand right now, as some of the most exciting hotel projects in the country have travelers eyeing the area’s development.
